Ruthie & Dan Engagement – Fort Foster, Kittery, ME
For this session, Ruthie had to take her day off from the Gym, while Dan also had a day off from his military duty. They traveled all the way from Vermont to Seacoast NH, and we are so glad they made the effort as it paid off with all these beautiful pictures :)
Did we mention that she’s wicked healthy? Just FYI, if you need tips and info related to a healthy lifestyle and workout, Ruthie has this cool website, http://sheswickedhealthy.com/ – check it out!
Helmuth & Icha Wedding, Seacoast Science Center, Portsmouth NH
Our dearest friends just celebrate their wedding last month. While the groom is a talented guitarist, the bride is also a great vocalist. A lot of detail preparation has been put down for this wedding, which many of them were handmade by the Marisha, kudos! (I also heard that the wedding dress already bought almost a year before the wedding).
It was a very busy wedding, we were pacing with the time for most of the day. As exhausting it was for them and for us, by the end of the day it’s all worth it. Now enjoy some of these delicious photographs!
Jake & Rachel Engagement – Lake Winnipesaukee, NH
We had an awesome time at the Lake Winnipesaukee, NH over their private cottage. The weather was nice despite a terrible forecast all prior weeks. We also had a chance to meet their whole family members, cooking out and relaxing on the backyard. So yeah, as we go through this session, there were at least 10 pairs of eyes watching their every movement…
We really enjoying ourselves during the session, especially we were able to see a beautiful sunset sky at the end of the session (though we cannot see the sun, since it disappeared behind the forest).
Next is some of the pictures from their engagement session, enjoy!
We asked them to create a boat / ship using a paper (origami). Rachel knows exactly what she was doing, while Jake tried to copy her. Not bad for the first try, Jake :) (pic below).
Michael & Annie Marriage Proposal
For those who are little bit confuse, in Asia, most of marriage proposal (engagement) is done by both parents of the man & the woman. The man’s parents are “asking” the parents of the woman to “give” their daughter as part of their new family. With respectful & symbolic gesture, the parents of the man will also give some favors to the woman to create a new bond in their family. Mostly it’s a precious item such as jewelry. Along the way, they will also have a small worship session depends on their religious belief, lead by their spiritual leaders as well as to receive their blessing. Marriage is a start for the lifetime journey, to make two imperfect persons perfecting each other through their weakness and strength, by the grace of the Lord.
Alright, so that’s the best explanation I can come up with, sorry if there’s a little differences as every part of the countries has their own style – sometimes it’s not even just a jewelry but also a cattle & crops!
Congratulation for Michael & Annie for your engagement!
Todd & Sarah Wedding – Clay Hill Farm, ME
Meet Todd & Sarah, our Thanksgiving couple. They had their wedding on Black Friday’s weekend, whereas people are lined up in front of Best Buy & Target. The weather was not really friendly; windy day at 30s F, so there were not too many outdoor pictures for them to be taken.
The chronology of this wedding went from place to places. First, Sarah and all her Bridesmaid got her hair, make up and dress done at Anchorage by the Sea, York, Maine. Todd and his Groomsmen were getting ready at Todd’s aunt place, which is around 20 minutes apart (also the reason why 2 photographers are doing you great favor :))
The Ceremony held at Georges Episcopal Church, York, ME. No flash photography allowed during ceremony, so it’s quite challenging since their indoor lightnings were not quite as bright as we expected.
The Reception, was at Clay Hill Farm, ME. Small but very tasteful taste. The foods are great! We’ll definitely visit there sometimes in the future for dinner / breakfast.
Before gets too long with the words, enjoy some of the pictures from our album :)

Alan & Karina Christmas Session – Archambault Tree Farm, Newmarket, NH
Some of you might remember them, back in 2013, they were our wedding couple. One night, on Friday, Karina messaged us through Facebook to request a photo session for their Christmas Card. It was quite sudden, that our only open slot was only the following Sunday (2 days later).
They came all the way from Quincy, MA to our beloved state of NH. We had a great time at Archambault Tree Farm, Newmarket, NH. It was also our first time seeing how the real Christmas Tree been taken down and packed. Great experience :)
Here are some of their pictures!
Mimo & Icha Engagement Continues…
Not many couple are willing to do Engagement session more than once. Well, they are not an ordinary couple :) – if you remember, they had a fantastic night city-view session last time at Boston Pier, MA. This time, Mimo & Icha wants to do something more natural and more of autumn feel.
Taken at State Park of Newburyport, MA, and Castle Hill, Ipswich, MA. Gorgeous place, though at the Castle Hill we didn’t have enough time, as Mimo needs to go to work that following afternoon. So we only had 40 minutes session, including some hike and jog around the hills… but it was worth it!
Theresia Senior Portrait – Dover, NH
Meet Theresia; she can be awkward at first but if she get comfortable, she can be as noisy as a broken radio.
She’s known to be kind of slow at getting jokes and also for her contagious laugh. Oh, some people think she’s depressing because she wears dark clothes very often. Other than that, she dreams big and a hard worker!
Sasha Senior Portrait Session – Dover, NH
Sasha, High School student who finds passion in the music performance field. She’s hoping and fighting for that in the future. Not to only bring success in her life and her family, but to reach out to others and help others.
She’s definitely an extrovert and easy to get along with quirky person. Overall, to put it simply in the 7 Cs, she’s carefree, confident, caring, creative, crazy c00l, and kfC, (so she said) and she believe she will become the next Beyoncé.
Mikha’s Senior Portrait, Somersworth NH
“Let’s travel somewhere!”
Love the vibrant of these fall colors, golden sun and blue sky :)
Mikha. (Mee-ka). Family and friends usually call her Kha, Mik, Mike, Muka, and Juan (inside joke). Currently a senior at SHS. Hoping to get into college next year to go for her MBA, and hopefully, she’ll also be able get her TEFL certificate if things go as planned.
Although she doesn’t look like one, actually she’s a very shy person, and she has a very bad stage fright. But once she know a person well enough, that’s when you get to see her wacky side.
Andy & Ashley Wedding – Saphire Estate, Sharon MA
Meet Andy & Ashley, whom probably the most laid-back couple we’ve met. No strain / stress shown throughout their wedding day, only joy, fun and laughter.
Yeah, we kinda figured that out ever since our first meeting at Mixx FroYo, Boston last year. “We’re definitely not a romantic person… so please no cheesy pose or ideas” something like that, ha! In a way, it’s good. Most wedding day becomes such a burden for the couple (Brides mostly) as they are striving for perfection on every detail and aspect.
What if the DJ’s late? What if the cake destroyed? What if it’s raining?
Speaking of raining, it was pretty cloudy that day with 80% chance of shower. They have prepared pair of boots and umbrellas. If it’s rain, then let it rain! Fortunately the rain was delayed till evening.
Embrace the imperfections, just get the best out of it, and enjoy! (also applies to these following pictures :D ).
Lisa & Family Session – Hanson Pines, Rochester, NH
Romance shouldn’t be over when you get married. Nor when you have kid(s) and growing up. Through all the hard times, never-ending waste on diapers, lack of sleep, infinite amount of stupid questions, more and more toys, first car, while they always think: “Oh, I know everything…”
Well, maybe that’s what true romance is all about; to give support, courageous and taking care and to be held accountable to each other.
Not sure how bad Lisa gave her parents dilemmas (hahaha!), but seeing how they are during our photo session are just mesmerizing (humorous people indeed). Family is a blessing, happiness is an act. It does not come for free & easy, but with all sacrifices and efforts.
Now, enjoy some of the pictures ;)
Jeff & Ashley Wedding – Jackson Gore Inn, Okemo Mt. VT
One of our favorite states, Vermont. You’ll witness beautiful farms and mountains on both side of your journey there.
My wife and I arrived there a day before and gave ourselves a good rest as we enjoyed the nature. We drove to the peak of Okemo Mt. to watched the sunset, and had some meals at some local restaurants.
We stayed at Okemo Mountain Lodging which is pretty much an apartment with its own kitchen. Cool! So we tried to do some groceries shop… and apparently Shaws was the only shopping place they have around that area.
No Market Basket, Walmart / Hannaford within the next 60 miles. All right, better than nothing though they completely marked up the prices, lol. It was a good little vacation for us anyway :)
Now, meet Jeff and Ashley, lovely couple who traveled far from North Carolina back to their home-state of Vermont for their wedding. They moved to NC following Jeff’s career transfer. Jeff also a goalie in his Hockey Team. Now, let’s enjoy some of their pictures and stories!
